Only a Plank Between One and Perdition

When caring for others it is important to upkeep yourself as well.

I nearly passed out in the hospital today, as relief that Emily's surgery went well caused the adrenaline to leave my body. My body promptly realized that my sugar meter had run out and it was time to shut down.

    I'm glad that you're okay. Could you imagine? "The surgery went fine, Emily, but Tim passed out and had to be wheeled to another room."

    I actually thought that while it was happening.

    Willing yourself to stay conscious takes extreme effort, I broke out in a massive sweat.
